Cidade Jardim, Brazil 18 November 2023
The Jockey Club of São Paulo was the scene of an exciting dispute that marked the seventh stage of the President UAE Cup for Colts & Fillies Award. The event, organized by the Brazilian Association of Arabian Horse Breeders (ABCCA) in partnership with the Jockey Club of São Paulo, brought together eight Arabian breed horses, males and females aged 3 years and over, without a win, in a 1000-meter race on the grass track.
The competition was intense, and the definition of the positions took place in the exciting final 100 meters. Rubicon Rach, under the skillful saddle of jockey Rudinick Viana, crossed the final track in first place, recording a time of 1:05.285. The tordillo, owned by Giancarlo Rocchiccioli’s Spartacus Stud and bred by the Saliba family’s Rach Stud, is the son of Bismark Rach and Rhondda Rach. The victory represents the first triumph of the tordillo, which was trained by J. Bosco.
The UAE President Cup Series for Colts & Fillies VII Awards was supported by sponsors who believe in the potential of Arabian horse racing in Brazil. They are H.H. Shk. Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Minister of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Emirates Racing Authority; and H.E. Faisal Al Rahmani, President of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing (IFAHR) and Director General of the UAE President Cup.
In addition to the prizes during the races at the Jockey Club of São Paulo, all animals participating in the 2023 Arabian Horse Racing Calendar have the opportunity to compete for the Arabian Cup 2023, a ranking promoted by ABCCA, which this year will distribute an impressive R$ 220 thousand in prizes. Until the end of 2023, the season promises more emotions and challenges, consolidating the prestige of Arabian horse racing on the national and international sports scene.
