The handover of the Libyan Horse Racing Authority’s management was completed on October 22, 2024, following a Council of Ministers decision to restructure the Board of Directors, now chaired by Dr. Emad AlDin AlSadiq AlHatushi.
The ceremony took place between the outgoing chairman, Dr. Emad AlDin Mohammed AlShaab, and the new chairman, Dr. AlHatushi, in the presence of a committee from the Prime Minister’s Office, board members, and staff. Dr. AlShaab was honored with the Libyan Horse Racing Authority Shield for his service.

The new Board of Directors of the Libyan Horse Racing Authority consists of the following members:

Dr. Imad AlDin AlSadiq AlHattoushi is a prominent figure in medicine, economics, agriculture, and public life, with a deep passion for equestrianism. He has long been a horse owner and breeder, with stables in Libya and Tunisia. His Arabian horse, “Hajres,” has won major awards in Tunisia, Morocco, and France, and placed well in Saudi Arabia and Europe.
As Director of the National Arabian Horse Center, Dr. AlHattoushi has led key initiatives, including establishing an international-standard registration and monitoring department and organizing breeder guidance programs and horse beauty competitions.
