On friday 13th of october 2023 (due to COVID, this time after several years), the Belgian Galop Federation organized the “Golden Whip” ceremony. The best Professional Jockey of the season, as well as the best Gentleman Rider and the Best Lady Amateur of the season receive the ‘Golden Whip’ of the season. Thus far only 2 of the 3-year-olds have raced, as most of them are “not ready yet”, probably because our breeders let them be born later in the season than is generally feasible for racehorses, because of our longer winters. Under the chairmanship of H. E. Faisal Al-Rahmani President of the Federation and in the presence of the international racing authorities, the 27th session of the International Federation of Arabian Horseracing Authorities was held in Paris on September 30th, 2023. The meeting was well attended, and it was noted that there were presently 32 countries that are IFAHR members. the general assembly agreed on a set of important decisions and development opportunities alongside plans to raise production levels and maintain the prestigious status of Arab horse globally.
