In a dazzling display of speed and endurance, Najm Al Wathba, the talented offspring of Af Al Buraq and Fazzaha, owned by Al Wathba Racing and trained by Majed Al Jahoori, secured a resounding victory in the prestigious Bani Yas (G2) for 1400 meters.
Facing formidable contenders, including the reigning champion AF Alajaj and the notable USA import RB Money Maker, Najm Al Wathba proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Starting from stall 1, the horse, guided by the skilled jockey Bernardo Pinheiro, took an early lead that set the tone for the entire race.
Throughout the contest, Najm Al Wathba expertly maintained the lead, with Pinheiro strategically managing the tempo. As they entered the straight, the duo accelerated, leaving the competition in their wake. The chasing field made valiant efforts, but Najm Al Wathba’s lead proved insurmountable.
Crossing the finish line in a remarkable time of 1:33.89, Najm Al Wathba showcased exceptional speed and determination. Nadelshiba secured a commendable second place, trailing by 2.5 lengths, while Al Mufham claimed the third spot.
The Bani Yas (G2) witnessed a powerful renewal of the race, with Najm Al Wathba emerging as the undisputed champion, adding another accolade to the impressive racing portfolio of Al Wathba Racing and Majed Al Jahoori.
