Tunisia, Qasr Al-Saeed Track 9 June 2024
The Republic of Tunisia celebrated hosting the second leg of the His Highness the President of the State Cup racing series for purebred Arabian horses in its 31st edition. The event, held at the Qasr Al-Saeed sand track on Sunday, June 9, 2024, was marked by a vibrant carnival and festival that highlighted the significance and prestige of the race.
In a thrilling competition, “Khaddam” (Moqatel Alkhalidiah X Basorra) owned by Ahmed Al-Saeed Stables, trained by Nizar Al-Ghabri and ridden by jockey Salim Farshishi, clinched victory with a time of 2:22:00 minutes. His stablemate “Las Vegas,” ridden by Khaled Al-Harshani, secured second place, while “Nafeh,” owned by Khalid bin Othman, trained by Munir Al Mansouri, and ridden by Jose Santiago, finished third. This prestigious global event receives the unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Office. His Highness’s backing is part of a broader initiative to advance the Arabian horse racing industry, support owners and breeders worldwide, and promote the breeding and acquisition of Arabian horses to preserve their purebred heritage. This vision continues the legacy of the founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
