The race had 9 starters, several Heritage Arabians among them. All started well except one of the 3 unraced horses: the French JAGUAR DE L’ARDUS, who later-on impressively climbed up to a well-deserved fourth place.
YASHAR D.A., the most experienced of the lot took the lead very soon and kept it till the end, bringing another well-deserved win for breeder/owner /trainer Johan Verstrepen of Dijkhoeve Arabians.
Two heritage horses: EMEND (Polish bred) and PYTHAGORAS K.A. were in the frontlines in the earlier part of the race but dropped once the end-sprint started.
RAZA P was the only “experienced” 3 year-old and reached the post as second of the lot. She thus also brought the breeders premium to Peter Deckers …
The most impressive performance is probably by VITALY, a Dutch-bred Heritage Arabian out of Russian bloodlines, who was in the front-group from the beginning and only lost his second position towards the end, when RAZA P decided it was her day.
