In a stellar debut on the dirt track at Sharjah Racecourse, Bassam Al Wathba, a magnificent specimen sired by Areem and Haizoom, delivered a commanding performance to claim victory in the prestigious HH The Crown Prince of Sharjah Cup. Owned by Al Wathba Racing, trained by the skilled Majed Al Jahoori, and proudly bred by HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Bassam Al Wathba’s triumph was a testament to his prowess and adaptability.
The race unfolded with Bassam Al Wathba making a stellar jump from the gates, showcasing exceptional speed and agility. Throughout the competition, the horse strategically chased the leaders and demonstrated a consistent level of performance that proved to be more than sufficient to secure the win.
As the thrilling contest reached its climax, Bassam Al Wathba crossed the finish line with a remarkable lead of 1 3/4 lengths, leaving the competition in his wake. The winning time of 1:20.77 underscored not only the horse’s speed but also its endurance on the challenging dirt track.
This victory marked an impressive milestone for Bassam Al Wathba in his first-ever appearance on the Sharjah dirt track.
