In a landmark event for Arabian horse racing, pure Arabians made their first appearance on Meydan’s Turf track, marking a significant moment in the course’s history. The Mazrat Al Ruwayah (Gr2PA), a 1600m race held in Dubai, showcased the exceptional talent and breeding of these magnificent horses.
Al Laith (AE), sired by AF ALBAHAR (AE) and out of Leaulita (FR), emerged victorious in this prestigious race. Owned by Al Rahmani Racing, trained by Ahmed Al Mehairbi, and expertly ridden by jockey Ben Coen, Al Laith demonstrated remarkable speed and endurance to clinch the win.
The race was fiercely contested, with Heros De Lagarde (FR) and AF Maqam (AE) finishing in second and third places, respectively. The final distances were 1.75 lengths and 0.5 lengths, with a finishing time of 1:43.15.
