Libya, a new frontier for Italian-born Arabian thoroughbreds. On Friday, on the dirt of the Misrata racecourse, an important victory came for Dreams. On his third local engagement, after obtaining a third and a fifth place in the previous ones, the 4-year-old bred by Costanzo Salaris achieved his first success in the African nation by scoring in a listed over 1800 meters, in which after a good duel he managed to bend Dolon’s opposition.
The Italian career of the son of Gaffaz and Bakara de Chaillac, due to the training of Maria Moneta and the ownership of Marco Giagnori, had ended almost a year ago, in November 2022, with a balance of one victory and five placings in seven races. The only success of the saurian had come in a maiden in Florence, among his placings stands out a third place in Rome on the back of the qualitative Najeeb Al Zaman and Baghdad in the Wathba Stallion Cup Prize.
