UAE 10 November 2023
Cre Run Farms’ global champion First Classs (DAHESS x Toppoftheclass), winner of 3 $1 million races to date, will be heading to Abu Dhabi to compete in the prestigious Gr 1 SHEIKH ZAYED BIN SULTAN AL NAHYAN JEWEL CROWN at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club on December 3, 2023.
After a very successful 3-year lease with the Al Kaabi family, First Class will be returning to the green and purple colors of the Cre Run Farm legacy and will now race for owners Deborah Mihaloff and Alan Kirshner. They would like to thank the Lease partners and the supporting teams that guided First Class to his incredible accomplishments. This has been a highlight for his US breeders, and they are very grateful to all involved.
Mihaloff and Kirshner have been in the Arabian horse racing industry for over 40 years, supporting partnerships and leasing programs with incredible horses. They now look forward to racing their talented homebred under the Cre Run banner again.
First Classs will travel with his handler and companion Maeva Chupin and will be united with his new trainer Doug Watson in Dubai on Saturday November 11.
Deb Mihaloff says “We are thrilled to be working with Doug and racing in the UAE. We have run a few horses there in recent years and are thrilled to breed and race Arabian horses of the caliber it takes to be able to compete on such a level. The racing is first class, and we will point our “Classs” first to the Jewel Crown race in Abu Dhabi, then the prestigious Stakes series in the UAE, including the Gr 1 Kahayla Classic on Dubai World Cup Day. We know what a blessing this horse is and look forward to the future.”
