The Board of Directors of the Racing and Equestrian Club announced today an increase in the value of the financial prizes allocated to the winners of the owners, trainers and riders in the races of the next season 2023-2024, which are organized by the club, whether at Al Rayyan Racecourse or Al Oqda Racecourse.
The club confirmed, in a statement, that this increase comes with the aim of increasing competition and working to develop the level of Qatari racing, ensuring that the sport of our fathers and grandfathers is raised, and achieving more achievements in terms of victories achieved by Qatari horses, especially in foreign races, as well as raising the level of racing and attracting owners.
From abroad to participate in the races that are held every season in Qatar. Mr. Badr Mohammed Al-Darwish, Acting CEO of the Racing and Equestrian Club, provided an explanation for the increase announced today, saying, “This increase contributes to raising the level of racing in Qatar and the quality of horses participating in it, in addition to supporting owners and encouraging them to develop the performance of their horses, and the new increase includes 163 runs in the program for next season, divided into runs for different categories of horses throughout the season.
